'Wing' to Fly

I just finished my 21 days course yesterday with Singapore Airlines (SIA) cadet pilots, batch 163. 11 of them, from a different backgrounds and characters work together for the whole 21 days as a first step for achieving their dream… to get a ‘wing’ to fly. Handling my second SIA course, this time was really exhausted because during the second week of this course I got fever. First time I think, got a bad fever during course. Lucky for me… Only took a day to recover even though not 100% well.

The uniqueness of their team was formed by the dissimilarity of their characters and lots of good things happened during this course. To see them suffering and striving in completing the activities and expeditions yet still had fun during the course have made me realized that there’s nothing can stop them from achieving their dream and it showed that they really want it. Their spirit keeps motivating me to do my best in doing my job here as well. None of them complain about what they’ve gone through here in Outward Bound Malaysia (OBM). They put aside their ego, emptied their ‘cup’ to fill up with a new knowledge and shared what they knew about something and with a good attitude made them one of my best group ever.

All the best for you guys (Bernard, Erza, Jeevan, Sean, Matthew, Keyshawn, Yichang, Oliver, Adam, Edwin and Benson) and I hope that all of you will get your ‘wing’ to fly high but don’t forget the ‘ground’ below. Just like trekking in the jungle… From time to time you have to look down for leeches… Hahaha! What I mean is, just don’t forget who you are.
